Codes and Conventions of Print Adverts
Today in Media, we looked at the codes and conventions of Print Adverts;
- One main image that catches the eye and attention of the audience
- Logo is on the right hand side or in the middle
- Channel 4 sign should be 3D not solid
- Central image should sum up the documentary
- Title has a box behind it and covers half of the image. It stands out and is always on the left hand side
- Contains the scheduling
- Either portrait or landscape
- Words are kept to the bare minimum as to not draw attention away from the main image
- Positioning is catchy and links to the documentary as to catch the audiences attention

Editing the Radio Trailer
Today in media, we edited our Radio Trailer;
This is an example of using a razor tool. This is used to cut down bits of the radio trailer and is used to cut out parts that are not needed.

We used the effect of constant gain to make each part of the radio trailer fade into each other.

Codes and Conventions of Radio Trailers
Today in Media, we looked at the codes and conventions of Radio Trailers;
- Narrator is either male or female and they speak in standard English
- Music with no lyrics is used in the background and it links to the theme or topic of the documentary
- Uses extracts from the documentaries
- Uses sound effects
- Lasts between 30 and 40 seconds
- Beginning grabs the attention of the audience
- Uses the same voice over as in the documentary
- Scheduling is usually in a different voice
- Same theme and slogan used in both the Radio trailer and the documentary

* Chocolate has become a part of our everyday lives but that wasn't always the case. We interviewed Freda Whittaker about her experience with chocolate during the war.
* The chocolate industry has expanded and more people are experimenting with chocolate and chocolate flavours. the manager of The Chocolate Cellar tells us about her business and experience in the industry.
* The growth of chocolate has changed our diets and it has become a regular thing to eat during the day with people known to even have it for breakfast. We spoke to a dentist and doctor about how our love for chocolate can affect our bodies.
* Over the years handmade chocolate has become more popular. It has become more common in smaller businesses. We caught up with a previous cadbury's worker Sheila about what it was like working in the factory.

Interview Questions for the Doctor
Today in media we created our questions for the Dr Downward. Here are our questions;
1) Do you believe that chocolate on its own can cause people’s health to deteriorate? How?
2) In all your years as a GP, have you had to deal with health issues that are directly the result of chocolate?
3) Have you noticed any change in people’s health since chocolate became more popular and more widely available?
4) Do think that more advertising of chocolate has added to popularity of chocolate?
5) According to a news article by the New York Times, chocolate can have benefits for the heart. Is this possible? Have any case studies been done by yourself on the effects of chocolate on people’s health?

2) How often to you see people with poor dental health as a result of their diet?
3) Do think that more advertising of chocolate has added to the popularity of chocolate?
4) According to a news report by the BBC news, chocolate can actually prevent tooth decay, what is your opinion on this? And why?
